We take a business friendly approach to complaints. We begin by assuming that most companies wish to resolve complaints, but may not have the mechanism in place to recognize legitimate complaints. We strive to get an appropriate refund or adjustment for serious problems by submitting legitimate complaints. Sorting through submissions and contacting the appropriate parties is time consuming so we cannot offer this service free. We believe, however, that it is much more effective that allowing thousands of unmonitored and, often, trivial complaints to be uploaded.

We began helping consumers in 1997 by contacting companies free. We were overwhelmed by trivial and and inaccurate complaints. Other websites allow unmonitored uploads of complaints which costs very little. Complaints could be generated by competitors or people with inaccurate information.

This is not a service that we can provide free. The Better Business Bureau® is a for profit business which receives substantial membership fees from its members. Many of their members buy thousands of dollars worth of advertising. We accept no membership money or advertising from businesses to cover our expenses. There is a minor fee for service.


We may decline your complaint. If you have met our standards and we decline your complaint you will receive a refund of your payment.

To partially cover our costs and to discourage trivial complaints, we:
  1. require a $5 payment from subscribers and a $12 payment from non-subscribers.
  2. only accept complaints about issues that involve more than $100. 
  3. only accept complaints from people who have evidence of a transaction with the organization.
